Hello all,

I have a question if someone could help me out?

I have a computer with a Gigabyte GA-81945GZME-RH motherboard, 3.2Gh Intel CPU and 2gb of ram. I would like to put in a PCI-Express graphics card.

Can anyone suggest a decent budget priced card that will be compatible with my mobo. I don't need anything to flashy or expensive. This computer is mainly used by my 12 year old son who plays a few different online games, none of which are to resource hungry.

Thank you in advance for any advice you can give me!

8500/8600gt or a second hand 6800/7800 should be all you need :D

Pick up something like the ATI HD 3450 or the Nvidia 8400GS, both about £20 brand new. Depending on how you define not to rescource hungry?

What kind of online games? WOW and CSS or flash / shockwave based games that you play in a web browser?

Thanks for the replies. By online I mean, WoW, Soldier Front, Americas Army and the like.

My mum's did pretty well on a 9800 pro until i killed it. The 6200 replacement is doing alright. Might want to look at a Nvidia 9600GT.

To be honest the 256mb 8800gts are becoming very cheap. Keep watching them you might get one for not a lot. Spending that little bit extra will be worth it.
