Just blew some dust off an old favorite , dungeon keeper , deeper dungeons and dkII.Forgot just how much fun they actually are to play , and that perhaps theres just too much polish in the graphics of similar games today.
No to look for old pc components from the same cupboard to build an old pc for some dos and 95x goodness.

I LOVED those games. I'm quite tempted to buy myself an old 486 or pentium off ebay and stick all my old games on it.
One of my top gaming moments ever without a doubt - DKII, when a monster wins the jackpot in the casino, makes me wet myself everytime, one of the best additions to a game ever, so shocking but funny.
Even the small touches, like if you're playing at at 4am, the creepy guys starts telling you to go to bed and stuff, really nice touch.
RIP Bullfrog
In a similar vein, I remember many a lost hour playing Theme Park (the original, though the accent in World still makes me laugh to this day..) and Theme Hospital in my youth! :D

Yeah just got the casino bit a few minutes ago , theres plenty of in game stuff...full moon , and so on.
I tried the molyneux black and white thing after that but found it boring.
im surprised that ea let the franchise die a death , especially now with things like wow so big.
I also prefer the older cnc games too , after generals they just got too big with too much.
