I am installing Crysis as we speak!!

As the title suggests, i am installing crysis as my first game on my new super duper PC i got for xmas, I hear that whilst graphically pleasing crysis isn't all that gameplay wise,

So what is graphical ecstasy with the gameplay to boot?

Well, graphics are good yeah, gameplays average.
All i can say though, is that (in my opinion) its the game that farcry should have been

The games graphics are really good, obviously, and i cant find anything bad about the AI or anything, the gamesplays average but it hasn't got any little annoying things that you usually find with alot of games.

what are the specs of your system, i upgraded to vista due to DX10 .. but my cpu suxs so my gameplay isnt good atm.

Even the close combat stuff? I know FEAR kind of introduced this, by in the videos I've seen from Crysis it really takes things to the next level...?

My system is currently:

E6550 Core Duo

ATI 3870 GDDR4 512mb

4Gb 800 Ram DDR II

Vista Home Premium

Same drivers that were on the disks that came with it.

Runs smoothely at what seems like 40-50 fps... Hae dipped to the high teens once or twice. I blame my hard drive.

4Gb of RAM is highly reccomended, so far, CRYSIS has not managed to get it past 60-70% full, even with a eve online client running!! and STEAM plus more.


Ninja Edit: This is at medium settings, its so pretty i don't see a reason to go higher :P
