Don't think this has been posted before, anyway just came accross it on XS whilst discussing SSD.

In your title, is it 640GB not MB?
Amazing stuff though, but it costs a bomb.

Oh yeah!
Must of got mixed up with the 8800GTS :p
Could a mod change this please :)
Solid-state is taking over. Can't wait to get my hands on something like this :D
Edit: Interestingly, the demo model they were brandishing in the launch vid looks like it has an 'SLI-like' connector on it, though the picture on the main site doesn't appear to have it. I may even be seeing things.. But the point is, if they weren't thinking about RAID, their sales pitches will be met with deaf ears.
"Look how fast it is! It's 1000 times faster than your current disks!"
"OK, what happens when it breaks?"
"Umm... Please give us money?"
"Bye!"
Same thing with a SATA-III interface (600MB/sec) would be awesome (although it'd still be slightly limiting.) That or a modular dual/quad card design which allows you to setup/manage RAID1 arrays across the devices (eg. with them all being used via the same 4x/8x slot.)

OH Nice SSD!!
But with a price tag or arround $30 per Gb I think you'll need a huge lotto win to get the 640Gb version! ($19,200 without tax and shipping probably!!)
Saying that it would be perfect for a ultra quiet media server that you don't have to hide under the stairs!

£1200 for an 80Gb 'drive' :p
Cripes, I'd like reduced boot-up times but that's a little much ;)

They might want to recheck their figures there unless they are comparing it to a 15yr old pc which only had 2-3mb of hdd anyway...
assuming you have your bits and bytes not muddled up..
