Try http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php

It takes a bit to configure but there are loads of configuration files for different motherboards as well; you'll need to register to download them.

Everest for cpu, and gfx very accurate aswell more than speedfan imho, and easier to use.

everest or speedfan - everest seems to work better in vista however it is not free (the free version has been stopped)

I was assuming the op wanted it to last for more than 30 days :p

Speedfan does this if you go to configure and then temps and then select which temp you want display in the task bar.

both everest and speedfan have vista sidebar gadgets available to them (everest is better than speedfan) so if you have vista thats worth a look.

Samurize because you can configure it to look how you want :)

all very well but you still need programs to do what the op wants, samurize requires a program to be installed for cpu temps etc

Until such time as you make the switch to Vista... you might want to consider seeing what suitable (temp display) 'Widgets' are available for Yahoo Widgets (http://widgets.yahoo.com/)

There are 100's - if not 1000's of Widgets (http://widgets.yahoo.com/gallery/) to choose from, and since they're categorized... it should make finding something suitable relatively quick/easy?

And what do you know... a quick search for 'temperature monitor' returned exactly what you're after - namely... this SpeedFan (http://widgets.yahoo.com/widgets/speedfan-temperature-monitor) widget ;)

Not on the last version i tried, it was a built in parameter.
