Vanilla as in, not Elite only.
The core package ( do they still make core systems, or did they get phased out? I can't remember tbh ) will not have an HDMI port, but the Premium will ( with some confirmation that the units are already on sale), at least in the US of A. We Brits will just have to wait and see, I guess.
The benefit of the HDMI port over standard ports, for those not in the know, is in increased visual quality to the games, resulting in sharper images and in some, boosted contrast.
