Running Vista Home Premium here and when I open apps like fireworks or when I watch a video it switches to the basic theme. Any way to disable this?

Its not like I have a slow PC (E4300- 2gig RAM) and although my graphics card is not upto gaming standards its more than enough just to run Vista along with a video/fireworks picture (256mb 7300 LE).

I get the same thing, on premium which is on my lanbox. When I maximise a window the taskbar and the window revert to basic but when I hit the restore button it all goes transparent.

I think it might just be a built in thing that happens to everyone not just you.;)

As far as i know, vista only does this when the program is incompatible with the aero interface. I have a few programs that do this too. With the problem being with the programs rather than the os, i can't imagine there being any way to do it. You might have to wait and see if the programs are being updated or patched.

Well looks like I might have a different problem then (yay:rolleyes: ) as I'm on about justa window like "my computer" if its maximised everything is a block colour.

where as if the same window is either minimised or restored to a medium window everything goes to a transparent colour. :D

Borrowed a couple of pics from a different forum to illustrate,

not maximised : http://img358.imageshack.us/img358/6360/aerodxj1.png

Daza, that's normal with Windows Vista however if you want the maximised window to be transparent like it used to be for Longhorn then I suggest you download VistaGlazz (http://www.codegazer.com/vistaglazz.htm) :)
