last week's CSI: NY had a subplot involving goat DNA being spliced with spider DNA so silk comes out in it's milk!!

haha, i thought that was ficticious nonsense... i guess not!


I'm more intrigued by the naked hippie parade. Although a few weeks ago there was a naked cycle ride through London to highlight bicycles as an effective mode of transport in the city centre.

I was in barcelona on summer solstice. there was a parade of naked hippies throught the city centre. must have been a hundred of em. when i say 'hippy', these were original hippies. 60 years old and not really pretty to look at i can tell you.

i once saw a goat danglign from my roof, i had to use rather a large rolled up paper to dispose of it...

This was originally on a program on channel 4, think it was called Animal Farm, where they talked about the descovery putting the spider silk gene in goat's milk actualy worked.

Spiders can't be farmed for thier silk because they eat each other aparently :eek:

Sounds good, but i can't help but see the irony in 'soft' body armor, won't the bullets momentum just bruise you/brake bones and then just incapacitate you??

But yeah micro surgery needs a boost!

I envision that it's similar to the way in which the more you compress a spring, the harder it pushes back.

But yeah, I wouldn't wanna get shot with ANYTHING blocking it. The sheer force would be enough to hurt like hell (but I'd be alive, so that's something.)
