No, seriously, what has this world come to, when we tune into people fighting over who gets some woman’s kidneys. and call it reality TV entertainment.

this makes me question the mindset of those folk that live over there.

No its not april 1st.

wow, what a stupid idea.
Still, i'd prefer to watch that than some Saturday night dance and sing competition that seems to be on every channel.

Why not? Think of the natural spin-off:

* Celebrity Surgeon * - Z-list celebs compete for the chance to perform the kidney transplant on live TV in front of a studio audience.

Cue plenty of audience participation as Jade Goody and The ugly one from Blue wield the scalpel "Higher, higher, lower, lower, left a bit.......oooooooooh"

If curly-haired Lee doesn't win, I'm chewing my left nut off.

On another note, jacobzcool how the hell are you racking up that many hours on eve this week?? Have you flunked out of school or something? Surely a little revision will help you more?

yeah, to be honest, i think it'll be more entertaining than watching egotistical camp guys to be the next Joseph or Grease characters, and it'll beat Big Brother hands down.

But ethically, it's not a good idea.

Because I always leave it open, even when I am AFK.

It turns out this show was a hoax to raise awareness and provoke debate.

wow, although the show did take place, it was suprising that they did all that. i wonder if it made people more likly or less likley to donate.

Exactly, I think it would be a stupid risk, as some people may be turned off donating in that country......Big gamble.

I disagree. It was certainly a sensationalist way of raising awareness but I'm pretty sure it will help because the main reason for organ shortages is public apathy. I can't imagine anyone who had already decided to donate changing their minds over this but I'm pretty sure it's got a lot of people discussing it who had never even considered donating before.

Personally I think every country should have an opt out system like they do in Belgium, Spain and some other places. That way it's assumed you will donate unless you have specifically registered to not do so.

Yeah agreed, if you have already made up your mind then nothing will change it, I was thinking more of the undecided people may be put off.

Totally Agree.
