Huge IDE Cable!

sorry about repost!

Hey all putting my xbox in my car well its halfway there, and ive hit a problem, i want to keep the HD near the motehrboard under the passengers seat, and i want to wel need to mount the DVD drive near my head unit in centre console if this makes sence, but obviously the ide cable is not long enough is there like some super huge ide cable i could use just to extend the DVD drive part, slave i think, or some sort of a conector when i can plug ide into to i can plug another then anothere connector for anotehr ide?

Can you use USB?
There are USB to ide adapters on Kustoms site.

you can buy lengths of flat ribbon cable from some electronic stores, as well as the End connectors and make your own length to fit.

36" or a bit less than a meter is the longest recomended ide length.
Yes you can use a USB to ide convertor as long as you can also supply the molex (voltage) connector as the adapter comes with a mains adapter for the molex.
