Surely all that's gonna do is eat more CPU? I mean, I can tell that my CPU is going beserk because my computer slows down lol. :D

What, and you've started to believe everything everyone says? The fact that they had to say that means that it does use CPU and as such is the last thing you want when your CPU is being hammered...

Well with these modern dual, and even quad cores you could perhaps have a core dedicated to fancy things like this :D

Don't get so worked up about it. I think its a nice feature that they have added. If your really that concerned about CPU use go back to win98 or stick with XP. Fact is that each new OS needs more system resources. I'm sure theres a way to turn it off anyway, but as i said i think its a very nice touch.

My system can't run 98 (or more to the point, 98 can't run my system...) and I'm perfectly happy with XP. I wasn't saying it's a bad idea, just probably not very practical.
