Hi all

i have a question before buying vista, when i got my sata hard drive i had problems installing windows xp pro on it as i needed to also install a driver for the sata hard drive while pressing F6 in the xp installation.

Now what id like to know will this happen again with vista if so will my old floppy disc work, the one i used with XP?

As ive looked on my motherboard website (gigabyte) and on maxtor to see if i can find a new driver for Vista but no joy

Thanks

Esactly what harddrive do you have?

Welcome to the forums machead

It's highly likely that Vista will recognize your SATA drive... but in the unlikely event that it doesn't... I'd be very surprised if that RAID drivers disk didn't also work for Vista ;)

Vista has no problem recognising my hard drives (all SATA) and the RAID drivers can be put onto a CD or USB stick for easier use. Shouldn't have any problems though.
