first time quick!!

ok, in a minute, when this drivers finishes downloading, im gonna reboot and install vista, im worried about this crappy usb modem i have, but its reliable, so im gonna try (speedtouch 330, there are ways apparently) i also have a dlink wireless kit (new) that i CAN use if need be, so is there anything anyone wants to warn me of or anything i should know?

It should be fine, I'd scrap the speedtouch modem though and use your dlink wireless stuff :) Do you have two gigs of ram? It really does make quite a difference to the smoothness. I have 1 gig of ram and currently I have a fairly large page file, which is affecting games. Company of heroes won't run on ultra and high like it did with the same spec under xp which is a bit of a shame:(

Well look forward to a good experience then, I wish I had another gig to run it with but I'm making do for now, I might see if I can poach some XMS from a friend of mine to run with my current 512 sticks :p He got 4 gigs together for vista business only to find out vista business x86 only supports 3 gigs maximum. I figure the stick that can't be used by vista should become mine ...

it runs absolutely seamlessly!!

i have to say im impressed, all up and running, first time, with the speedtouch modem!

one word of advice, it doesnt seem to like alcohol120% bad BSOD's every time i try to install the program, but daemon tools worked so its all good.

I'm very impressed with Vista as well, only running with a gig of ram and its all so shiny and works so well :) Game performance is a bit of another matter, but that can be easily fixed by getting hold of a dual core cpu I'd imagine :)
