The four disc set, out in November, is looking pretty sweet. Seen the box and it looks pretty snazzy. Two disc set is good, but i reckon when the four disc is out, it'll look pretty weak in comparison.

what's the big deal with the 4 box set? Is it the 1st and 2nd part?

It's the directors cut of the movie, gonna be over 4 hours long. Should be good, plus there'll be more extras i guess.

Lord Of The Rings

Well I think it was boring, I mean old Gandolf and that little hobit did was smoke POT. Little losers. And what is with Agent Smith, what happened to all his Kung-Fu and sun glasses?

hmm, i thought it was ok, a lot of liberties taken with the storyline (tom bombadil?) and it was too americanny lala.

and whats with the 'saruman and the goblins under the tower' scenes? it looked like they'd cut in footage from fraggle rock!

on the other hand, gandalf and bilbo WERE smoking weed :D

there is also the 5disc collectors edition
which comes with
"Exclusive Argonath Bookends"
hehe

amazon says its only ~30 mins of additional footage
which would make it approx. 208 minutes long - 3h28m then

i still think it was too much like fraggle rock

Loved it,

But then I loved the cartoon version and the dialogue was almost the same (yes watched it far to many times).

Fraggle Rock :) , Would like to see sprockett try and sink his teeth into one of those.

Couldn't get into the books at all...but I did enjoy the film...loved the menace of the black horses thundering along....looking forward to the next film...already have the 1st one on video...but no doubt will get a nice boxed set of DVDs once all the films are out......or rather hubby will since the books r his all time favourites! :D :D
