Anyone else doing this?
I've got a 1GHz celeron, 384MB ram and a Pioneer 16x DVD drive.
I'm using the onboard video/TV out.
If I set the resolution to 640x480 and 24 bit colour, it plays, but is a bit (too) jerky.
If I set it to 640x480 and 16 bit colour, the jerkiness goes, but the colours/shading looks grainy and crap.
I wasn't expecting a lot from this box, but I thought it would cope with this.
Oh, and just to complicate things a tad more, I'm using the program 'ogle' under linux.
I'd like to know if anyone else is using this box with the onboard TV out in either linux or windows to play DVDs.
If it turns out that windows would work better, I'll have to cough up the cash for a license. I'd like to have a good reason first though...
