Don't take this the wrong way; it's meant as a gentle but semi-serious jibe - do you stick with anything for long?!

why 6x9's???

Exactly...half decent components for the front would be money much better spent...

While we're on the subject of sound (agree with them on the 6x9s), why a bazooka tube? Aside from being rubbish compared to a normal sub/amp/enclosure setup, they don't look that great; all you can do is kinda...plonk it in the boot and hope it looks good. I know it's a bit late now because you've bought it, but next time get some MDF and some 'normal' kit.

6x9s are an ok stop-by gap until you get a decent set or 2 if you can afford, set of components. Combine them with a decent sounding sub and your laughing!

I am working with what I have until I get better options.
I got my exhaust sorted too.
I do stick with things but my parents said they would rather me use the golf as my project car because if something goes wrong it's not as expensive as the saxo which makes sense, they asked me to put it on hold for a while and just get it running in the meantime.

Golf has 4 front speakers as it is and no rear which is why I have chosen 6x9s for now and a bass tube (gifts) as this is what I have available.

Remember these are my first projects and I am working hard on both of them and cleaning 3 cars once a week is proving enough at the min.

Once I start my new job and the pennies are rolling then I will take it a lot more serious like I could before in the meantime I am doing small bits and bobs.

I have re-booked my driving test and am insured on my golf atm so am getting plenty of practise in for now.
