Hi,

I've recently bought a Shuttle SS51, I've been running HMonitor on it and it's reporting the motherboard temperature to be 40-45C under normal load and goes up to 61C under heavy load. This seems a little warm to me, but I've no idea what the average running temperature of these boards is, or what there designed to withstand. I have set the bus speed to 140 instead of 133 but the system has been very stable. Is anyone else getting these sort of temperatures? CPU is settling around about 34 - 36C (2.4 P4)

Thanks

Alan

Are you sure you don't have the temperatures the wrong way round?
Run it with the lid off it and see if the temperature differences are still similar.

The temperatures do seem excessive don't they? I was wondering if HMonitor was compatible with the SS51 motherboard, but then I suppose it wouldn't report anything if it wasn't. I checked it before I came to work and the CPU was 36 and motherboard 47. Maybe I should download another utility just to check, it doesn't sound right.
