Question for those with MCE + Remote

Bit of an odd and very specific question, but when using Microsoft's MCE remote how quickly can you scroll through the list of Music artists?

I'm currently using a Logitech remote which has a scroll-wheel, it's quite fast but it's tiring on the thumb having to continuously scroll to get to an artist at the opposite end of the list.

It's been a while since I've used the MCE remote, but does pressing and holding the down button scroll through the artist list quickly?

the answer is yes... however it's faster to use the mce number/text pad to get to the rought area you want and scroll from there!

Yeah, you can use the numerical pad the same way you would a mobile phone when texting.

Say you wanted to go to Radiohead in your listing, you can type up to three letters using the remote so you can type R A D and you're there.

Oh, so the number buttons on the regular MCE remote work like entering an SMS message to find (up to) the first letters?

Hmm, I wonder if my Logitech Harmony remote has downloadable codes for mapping of the MCE remote... EDIT: Doh! I'd still need the receiver!
