Nothing to do with Sumo.

Here's a video about retractable bollards in Manchester City Centre. I'm pretty sure they're commonplace now- I've seen them in London and Blackpool, anyways.

I'm half sympathetic and half laughing. The first "crash" they run to the back seats. Is there a kiddy in the back?

The parents shouldn't try that with kids in the car. But it could be argued as overkill on the Council's part.

And the van driver seems to smack his head something chronic.

Either way, don't mess with the Bollards :p
They're watching you...

I think that they are funny, I reckon all the cars and the van where written off. It is stupid to try that with kiddies in the car.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.....

Well if they didnt try to circumvent the traffic laws then they would have any problems would they.

Excellent. They have these in Rome, but the police cars are nowhere near as cautious as the buses. They just drive at full speed, and the bollards retract just in the nick of time.
The second bus tried to pull off a bit too quickly, with someone walking off as the bus was moving. It happened to me once and I fell flat on my face.

I'm reminded of places where they have like, ten signs int eh space of 7 meters of road, and people are like 'blah blah we don't need all those signs they're distracting... blah blah...'

It's people like this that DO need ten signs saying YOU WON'T GET OVER THESE BOLLARDS.

Got to love laughing at stupid people.

They certainly do :) always smile when someone's in the news for hitting them and causing £xxx amount of damage to there new bentley. I mean it's not as if they're not sign posted.

The silver car 35sec in makes me laugh. That lady could have easily gone up on the inner curb and straight round if she'd really wanted!

Are they the terrorist ones. That there putting infront of buildings that would be attacked by suicide car bombers. I seen it on a programme at one point.

bloody hell, their lethal.

I saw an aa van towing a broken down car try and get over a similar system and the car ended up 4 feet in the air. I was amused...
