Ive never heard of it so I just checked it out on IMDB here (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0458367/) and the review is pretty similar to yours. "Don't see this movie, unless you want to catch up on some sleep"
awww I was looking forward to seeing it, the trailer makes it look fairly good.

*SPOILER/ENDING WARNING - DONT READ POINT C*
The main gripe I had about films like this was the complete irrational nature of it and the many, many holes in the story line.
a) why are all Americans so scared of the police? If I'd been covered in a "dirty bomb" I wouldnt spend 90% of my time hiding from them in my back garden.
b) again...why did it take the lead woman 3 days to decide to go inside the house and take a frikking shower instead of standing in all the crap-o-la
c) at the end why did they go to the effort of boarding up the house and gassing the man to death and not just shoot him? They also seemed to put the tent over the house fairly quickly.
d) where did all that ash come from? Even when the WTC collapsed there wasnt the amount of ash seen in this film. Has LA moved to mount etna now?
Is it really that bad or is it just your opinion? I still really want to see this.

The general reviews I've read haven't looked favourable. The trailers kept it purposely vague, I think, so you didn't realise how bad this film reportedly is. I was keen to see it too but I've knocked it off my list now ;)
Thanks for saving me a few quid!

The reason the trailers are so vague is that the film repeats so much. 90% of the film is just someone crying.
