Silent SV24

What is the best way of silencing a SV24, I have seen that some people have replaced the stock fan with quieter versions. All the replacement fans seem to offer less airflow, are people experiencing problems with excessive heat, surely Shuttle must choose the stock fans for a reason. Am I right in saying that the PSU fan is the main culprit?
