I got it today (from my cracking local computer game shop) and after 30 mins playing I can conclude that it's a brilliant game.

And I got a free Dead Rising Xbox 360 faceplate with it.

I have to admit, I don't see the appeal in this game, but I understand that you probably nbeed to be a Zombie movie fan to appreciate it.

It arrived from GAME this morning, along with my new HDTV to play it on!

It is hilarious... the lawnmower moment had me in stitches (and quite a few zombies needing them, too). Popped into the gym while I was shopping, picked up a dumbell - what a great weapon! Mashes heads in one clean swipe!

Popped into a toy store too - those plastic kiddies swords are just as useless as they look, but make a lovely "vwoooom" sound when you swipe them :p

So far I'm liking the way it's 50% gameplay and 50% movie cut scenes and storyline - keeps the interest levels up and doesn't make it seem too repetitive. They've got the gameplay just right so far - lots of intriguing titbits dropped your way, but nothing too much that doesn't keep you wondering what it's all about.

Small niggly things are winding me up about the game, the lack of save points is particularly frustrating. The control system is a little bit useless too.

But it's still fun!

And also, lack of multiplayer is CRIMINAL!

The best thing I've found so far is to grab a mini chainsaw off Adam (the psycho clown), then three books (Engineering, Entertainment and Criminal) which puts the lifespan of the mini chainsaw to over 2000 kills. :D

I know what you mean - I tend to not swamp myself with too many games and certainly try before I buy. The beauty of the Marketplace is you can download tonnes of demos of games before you decide, which is a really good idea. I've just got 2 games - Chrome Hounds and Dead Rising - and they do me fine for now. Didn't like PGR, not entirely sure about Test Drive, and nothing else really grabs me - except maybe GRAW when I've finished with these two.

Lol, snap, except, i did. :p Havent got rising dead tho, but might get it based on this thread. Have got Saints Row tho, awesome game.

Hope u ordered the premium system ;)

Im a convert. I was a PS2 fanboy, although i also owned an xbox and gamecube, and i was gonna wait to november for the ps3, but now that its been pushed back, its xbox for me, and im glad i bought it, its friggin awesome.

well i got myself a premium system and dead rising + saints row, now is dead rising the same all the way through? so far its all been the same, also the writing is sooooo small even for my 32" or is that just me?

Its optimised for Hi-Def apparently so its difficult to read on a normal TV.

Erm the cables can output hi def, slide the switch across ;) Then in the display setting on the system tab select 1080i :)
