I have put together my Eden system, (C3 800 board, 256Mb of Crucial P133 ram, Maxtor 40Gb HDD). All this went into a Yang Yong A102 case. I've put some Paxmate in the case and it seems very quiet, there's the usual PSU and CPU fan and a 60mm Thermaltake fan slowed by a Zalman Fan mate. Windows XP install fine, I'm just trying to conect it to my other PC via the network connections and a cross-over cable.

Hmm I'm thinking ive been unlucky in havig 6 different SIMMSs that the board doesn't like (hence XP not installing).

Graeme, I thought you said the fan in the A102 PSU was noisy. Have they revised them because this one with the other cpu fan and case fan is still quite a bit quieter than a Playstation 2!
The only problem I have now is with a network connection. I have about 900 music tracks stored on my main computer. I've conected the network up and run the Network wizard on both PC's and can transfer some tracks via a shared directory in My Network Places but I keep getting 'Cannot copy -----.wma The specified network name is no longer availabe' where "-----" is the title of variouse tracks.

Um I eat my words... we just got a new batch of A102s which have a new PSU with a 'temperature controlled' sticker on them. These new models are a LOT quieter than the previous 200w units... not silent, but definitely a lot more acceptable.

Sorry I only found this out last week !

Quieter YY PSUs? Gah!! Just as I'm getting my PC42 with an OLD style YY 200W PSU in place.

You know how to take the shine off a guy's fun doncha Graeme??

Ah well, gives me an excuse to void the warranty on this one.

:D

Adam,

We've had them for a couple of weeks now I just hadn't realised - if your psu says 'temperature controlled' on it then it's a quiet one. You might already have one of these models
