Nice report Graeme! Bit of work behind that. I'm not that interested in gaming headphones but the article kept me interested..... now where's that competition... :p

Thats a stonking guide.. interestingly my nf2 board with a x800 got better frame rates with an x-fi. so must be a little hit or miss depending on technologys. - six

Yeh, I half expected the frame rates to go up with the X-Fi, but clearly setting on the 'Ultra High' sound quality setting put more stress on the rest of the system. Curiosity made me wonder if the PC needed 2Gb RAM to support the Ultra High sound quality, but it didn't feel like the system was slowing down from lack of memory.

Very interesting article, but I don't think you've quite persuaded me to get a headset over my current cheap-as-chips earbuds.

For some reason this puts me in mind of the episode of Red Dwarf where we see all Kryten's heads, including the knackered one with the Yorkshire accent. :D

Got that one on ebay, email me if you want the seller's details, as I think they had a regular supply of them.

Must say, it did give me a laugh setting up the photographs for those - just looked so rocking with the shades.

We might buy another to sit in our shopfront.

This article is great, and it made me buy the Siberia headset from KPC's store, and have not regreted it.

so who was the lucky winner? I remember when we tested these headphones out at Gumpcom Lan and by a mile the medusas were the dogs. Whoever won has my envy. hehe

This completely slipped me, I was off ill when the competition 'ended' so I forgot :S
