I have just uninstalled SP1 due to the non display of pictures in IE6 without having to individually r-click - show picture on each image. Definatly an SP1 problem as after uninstalling, everything is back to normal.

*** UPDATE ***
I have just installed the one from Windows Update rather than the 133Mb standalone package and the image problem is not there. I have just done this on 4 different machines and the problem is only in the standalone full package.
I did notice though that MS had a IE6 SP1 package also on WIndows Update & I have yet to install this. The IE6 SP1 could be the culprit and is autonatically installed on the standalone XP SP1 download.
Ahh...Its just that i dont fancy having to suck a large 133 meg upgrade through my 56k more than once.

I have download'ed it of cnetCNET (http://download.com.com/3000-2098-10147919.html?tag=sptlt)
Just phoned Microsoft on 0870 60 10 100 and ask for Microsoft Direct Services Dept and they will send out a cd with the update, only snag is that they are out of stock and they only got them yesterday!! but can take anything from now to 5 weeks.
TTFN......... :) :p :)

If you already are up to date with your patchs anyway, the express download should only be around 40Mb then (which it was for me).
i downloaded the full 133Mb file standalone and didn't have the image problem with IE.
5hours on ISDN!
Mines on auto update, it just downloads it while I surf and tells me when its ready to instal!
Ahhh the bliss of a 1 meg line ;-) Hope they don't cut me off my last DD bounced - opps :D

You can get around it but I am not going to say how though :D
Fully legit here. Cannot afford not to be in business.

Yes, sometimes I wonder why Microsoft bother putting these things in their installs, it is just pointless. I mean Devils Own released XP 30 days before Bill. Has anyone seen the pick with Bill holding the copy of XP?
