The teaser for Valve's new incarnation of the classic Team Fortress has arrived, and you can find it here (http://www.valvesoftware.com/ep2/teaser/tf2_teaser01_720p.wmv) in 720p goodness.

The trailer, complete with cheesy crime-buster music, consists of in-engine sequences, featuring mini profiles of the nine classes in action.

It all looks rather spiffy!

I found that by Googling for 'Team Fortress 2 Trailer'!


That same page has the 'Portal' trailer too - which is also well worth watching if you haven't seen it before :cool:

Oh, sorry lads, that was a premature link; they must have nuked it some time after I posted it! As Fireblade said, you can watch it on Gamespot, or download it at Fileplanet or most other file hosting places!

That, or, the link I posted was just being hammered!

what i was thinking though is that if u look at what the original TF2 was going to be like - its probably similar to many games that have come out since

by making gfx like this it adds a nice twist to it that makes it different and probably more fun to play than the TF clones

and as valve have said - doing episodic content and because of steam delivery system they can afford to take the risks with strange/different ideas

It's looking good, can't wait for it. TFC was the first game I played online, might just re-ignite my passion for gaming again!

Downloaded the trailer through Steam. Love the funky music :)

The cartoon style works for this game and I'm really looking forward to giving it a blast. After I complete Episode 2 of course.

Think The Sniper looks to be my favourite character so far.

p.s. I also took a print screen of the movie towards the end and used it as a desktop background. Looks very nice imo. I presume only the Steam video will be of a high enough res.

Same as HL2:EP2 and Portal sometime in the first quarter 07.

They had hoped Crimbo 06, but it's been delayed :(

Anyone going to be playing tonight to get the new achievements and weapons for the scout?

I am a terrible scout :p, but new achievements and weapons are always good.
