This problem is on a mates PC of mine.
The drive is only working at 8x and also Nero takes a couple of minutes to load up.
I have upgraded Nero and the devices Firmware, i have tested the drive in my PC and it works fine.
I was thiking that the IDE channel might be ******ed or something! any1 with any ideas plz post them!

did u upgrade the firmware from 24x to a 32x?
I done that and i get that prob sometimes, although i dont know the solution to it, just lettin u know its not just ur mates machine. ;)

It is a mates machine, and also i didnt do the firmware upgrade so i will give it ago myself and see what happens, but if all goes to pot, my signature will explain all! :D
