How is the fan mounted next to this cooler? Is it in a similar way to the Zalman flower CPU cooler?
You say that they won't fit my Rad 8500 DRR, d'oh :(
Why is this, is there a way around it?

Also, would the Quiet P 300W power supply have enough juice to power a CDRW, DVD, 80GB Segate barracuda IV, 7200 rpm HDD (and motherboard/cpu)and a cold cathode?

The idea is that is a passive cooler and so doesn't need a fan. A nearby flow of air through the case is handy but not vital.

We had a few of them returned by owners of ATI cards because they would not fit. There is a new model due in the future http://www.zalman.co.kr/english/product/zm50-hp.htm although I'm not able to specify a date of release as yet. It may be a better fit for the Radeon card.

Two CD's , two hard disks are no problem, as long you're not running dual AMD CPU's you'll be fine.

Thanks

I was looking at QuietPC.com and they say that if you use one on a radeon 8500, you will need a fan, and they show you how to fit the heatsink.(it just so happens that their tutorial used a rad) but not the fan.
Any Ideas??

oh? cool. :)

Maybe that's why we had them returned then. Had never actually tried this ourselves with the radeon...
