<table id="table1" border="0" width="600"><tbody><tr><td colspan="2">Hello !
It’s been a rather busy spell lately and while I’ve ensured to update the ‘Just Added’ column of the site, it’s been a little while since I’ve written a news post detailing new products. To at least bring things up to date, here’s a summary of items added to the catalogue over the last 2 or 3 weeks…
</td></tr><tr><td valign="top">Cases
Silverstone’s latest and greatest tower case, the TJ07 (http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/info_1240.html)is available now. While ‘portable’ certainly was not a word used during the brainstorming for this case , we suspect that ‘elegant’ , ‘spacious’ and ‘cool’ were – the TJ07 is a fantastic looking case and has plenty of scope to house a very high end PC. We also have two new Thermaltake high-end chassis’ this month, in the shape of the TaiChi (http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/info_1083.html) – a high-end case pre-fitted with a dual rad watercooling system, neatly mounted into the side panel which can be opened up with the support of a hydraulic arm. The ‘Watercooled Case (http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/Water-Cooled_Cases.html)’ section has been added to accommodate this, but we’re making arrangements to add a few unique cases to this section shortly. The
Eclipse DV (http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/info_1081.html) is a fantastic case – while the previous Eclipse had a CD holder in the front of the case, the DV model actually has an integrated side loading optical drive in the front panel of the case, so that the currently loaded disc can be seen spinning in the front panel. Far from a novelty, we thought this could make an excellent media centre chassis for those seeking the wildest of gizmos, plus the front illumination dances to audio is another feather in the Eclipse DV’s cap. At the entry level point, we have introduced the
Swing (http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/info_1080.html) model as an alternative case for those looking to assemble a cost-effective system but still with a little more style than a square box ! Moving just a little up the price scale are the Aspire Xplorer cases which have bold colour schemes and a well lit front panel and are now available in black with either red or silver front doors.
Acoustiproducts Acoustirack (http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/Kustom_PCs_Shop_Server_Cases_5.html) has been designed to significantly reduce noise levels in server rooms while still providing adequate cooling. The 24U and 42U sound-proofed cabinets are available on an order by request basis now, along with a selection of accessories. With many servers and storage systems producing intolerable levels of noise, Acoustirack is ideal for situations where servers are placed within a working environment.

When we first received the Ergodex DX1 customisable input controller (http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/info_4730.html) before Christmas, we were really impressed with the number of practical uses of having a configurable keyset and the ease of use of the software. We’ve now added the additional 26-50 keyset (http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/info_4731.html) and spare clear trays, (http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/info_4732.html) meaning that you can swap between multiple setups in seconds.
We are now pleased to offer a battery replacement service for iPods (http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/info_999950.html) – covering models Original, 3G, 4G, Photo and Mini models. The Sonnet battery kits offer a better playtime than the original iPod batteries and we also supply them in kit form (http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/Kustom_PCs_Shop_I_Pod_Accessories_55.html) if you want to try installing yourself – check here for an installation guide (http://showthread.php?t=35839) !
Additional iPod Accessories (http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/Kustom_PCs_Shop_I_Pod_Accessories_55.html) are available now too including the Hi-Fi Link from Xitel (http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/info_4090.html)which provides remote control of your iPod and a high quality connection to your audio system. Atech offer new iPod docks with integrated card readers, and there’s some fantastic new Altec Lansing iPod speaker systems available now too !
We’re organising some new monitor (http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/Desktop_Monitors.html)stock including the latest Xerox glass fascia TFTs and additional Viewsonic widescreen TFTs in 19” and 20” sizes.
Logitech’s beautifully designed DiNovo desktop (http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/info_3009.html) is now available with an upgraded Laser optics mouse for greater precision and response, and we have a redesigned Gyration Ultra Suite (http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/info_3026.html) with a more ergonomic mouse design available now too !
Please do also check our latest article on mouse / mat compatability (http://showthread.php?t=35886) and ‘research’ into the pattern of hand sizes and mouse preferences. At the same time, we have updated the spec pages for our most popular mice (http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/Kustom_PCs_Shop_Mice_21.html), providing information on dimensions, cable length, button strength, software screenshots and photographs showing base and side profile shots to give a better idea of the mouse shape.
For the LAN gamer we have introduced some new case carry bags (http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/Kustom_PCs_Shop_Case_Handles___Bags_13.html) – these are adjustable and are suitable for most midi tower cases, and come in plain black or camoflauge schemes – plus there’s plenty of pockets for carring a keyboard, mouse and some cables.

<table id="table3" border="0" width="600"> <tbody><tr><td valign="top"> Cooling
There’s a few new goodies in the AquaComputer range (http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/AquaComputer.html) including black radiator grills (http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/Radiators___Grills.html), neat new aluminium bay reservoir kits (http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/Other_Reservoirs.html) and external radiator mounting kits (http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/info_7804.html). Also, exclusive (and limited edition) gold Aquatubes (http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/info_7812.html) are now available through Kustom PCs – make sure to grab this exclusive bit of watercooling bling as soon as possible as stocks are limited !
We also have the Cooltek Auras CPU coolers (http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/Fans.html)in Socket 775 and Socket 939 formats – these have heatpipe cooling systems and large (but quiet) fans installed to give significant cooling improvements and noise reduction over stock systems. What’s more, at under £20 they’re great value too. Our CPU cooling section (http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/Fans.html) has had a layout change so that coolers are grouped by socket compatability which makes it a lot easier to find a cooler for your particular CPU. The spec pages are ‘next on the list’ for an overhaul in a similar fashion to the mouse pages updated last week.
Also, for removing thermal interface pads or leftover heatsink paste from your CPU or cooler, we have the Arctic Silver Articlean (http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/info_3715.html) two part cleaning kit – this does a great job of cleaning cooling surfaces and ensures the best possible results when used before applying Arctic Silver Thermal paste.

<table id="table4" border="0" width="600"> <tbody><tr><td valign="top"> Other bits and bobs
There’s no denying that Ultra’s X-Connect PSU (http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/Kustom_PCs_Shop_Power_Supplies_ATX_7.html) is probably the coolest looking PSU available – with modular construction, UV cables, coloured windows and metallic casing finish it certainly is a great finish touch to any PC. Only problem was their lack of 24pin and PCI-E connector support, but we’re now offering these pre-bundled with Ultra’s own 24pin and PCI-E adapter cables at a worthwhile discount.
Along the subject of power cables – we’ve finally tracked down some ‘frequently requested cables’ , namely :
Molex to AUX 12v adapter (http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/info_1984.html)
EPS 8pin Extension Cable (http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/info_1982.html)
24pin ATX Extension Cable (http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/info_1983.html)
AUX 12v 4pin Extension Cable (http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/info_1987.html)
Find these, and more, in our power cables section. (http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/Kustom_PCs_Shop_Power_Supply___Fans_9.html)
For users looking to build their own cables, we have more stock of ACRyan pin removal tools either in 4pin molex (male / female universal) (http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/info_1926.html)and ATX / PCI-E (http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/info_1927.html) versions. Also from ACRyan are new ‘Backy’ PCI plates (http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/Other_Wiring___Switches_etc.html), including a Serial ATA backplate kit , ideal for adding external SATA connectivity to a motherboard with internal SATA connectors.
The Fusion Dual DVB (http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/info_4338.html)is a dual digital tuner on a PCI card, supporting Windows Media Centre. Allowing recording of one channel while viewing another, it allows greater media centre functionality and is ideal in small form factor systems which may only have one slot available. Also, we have a new Hybrid (eg digital and analogue) tuner from Club3D (http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/info_4339.html) which supports Windows XP and includes a neat PowerCinema software suite for providing similar playback functionality to Windows Media Centre.
Seagate’s 7200.9 (http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/Kustom_PCs_Shop_SATA_Hard_Disks_84.html) series hard disks are available now too, including capacity up to 500Gb and 16mb cache on the 300, 400 and 500Gb models. The drives are very quiet in operation – making them ideal for media centre use – and support NCQ for enhanced Serial ATA performance.
And that’s us – please do keep checking back for more news and updates.
Coming soon, a new case modding section of the site launching some exciting new customisation services and some neat new barebone systems !
