I think the US release is late August / early-mid September. I don't think the UK will get any until November, but I'm only guessing at the UK date.

US rrp is $399, which equates to a little over £250. I fully expect the card to cost around £300 on release though, what with the UK being a big dumb cash-cow for the rest of the world. Hopefully the price will drop quickly rather than staying artificially high like the Radeon 8500 did. Did u see how cheap those got in the US? They're still charging £200+ at some places over here..

The Radeon 9700 is a superb card tho, totally whups the Ti4600.

The R300 (9700) is due for release in the US around the 20th of August but it will probably be the very start of September before it becomes freely available and at a cost of $499.When released in the Uk I would expect this card to be priced at around the £300 mark, with the 9000 & 9000 PRO being upward of £200. Nvidias latest creation, the NV30 chipset will be available in the states around Nov/Dec but its more likely to grace the shelves on January 2003 from what Ive been told. The NV30 will be even quicker than the R300`s, although the architecture will be much the same and knowing the price structure of the GF4`s, you will probably be looking at aroung £350-£400 for one of these.
