hey there guys!
yet again, i'm seeking some of your awesome advise. been working with flash for a while, made a website (for something different - a skatepark directory for uni), but everything was on one timeline, and it took a little while to load. i'm wanting to create a online portfolio that includes videos, some interactive presentations and some other stuff. originally they were meant for interactive cdrom, so size wasen't an issue, but have been getting some feedback, and really could do with putting these on a website.
right....what i'm asking is, due to the large file sizes, would it be better to create different scenes, and then add a preloader to each scene (including perhaps a pre-loader for hi-res digital photos) meaning that the initial download would be quite small, and then would just preload on a need-to-view basis......? - also any tips on where to get some info on this....?
or try and kinda stream stuff from the server...(as you can tell.....still getting the grasp of this...........this need to know basis sometimes canbe an ass when you have to work backward...! :confused: )
