I'm looking for a new TV card, specifically a freeview (DVB-T) one as my current analogue hauppage card is on its last legs and its recording abilities aint that great.

At the moment I'm running XP Pro on my shuttle but should I go down the MCE route? I know this will open up a few more options as it were. Never had any experience with MCE so I'm not too sure how much easier it makes things.

So whats a good freeview, PCI, non MCE card then? Or if I do go to MCE whats a good freeview, PCI, MCE card?

Hauppauge Nova-T. I have three, and they have a great remote. If you're using windows you might wanna think about either MCE or other PVR software since the bundled stuff isn't that great, or so I've heard.

I agree with stdRaichu as I also have the Nova T and it works like a dream.

More of the same from me - use 3 of them too - cards are fine, software isn't great. Nothing that stdPikaRaichu hasn't said, I know, but at least it backs up what he's saying for you :D

Right, well thats my mind made up then ;).

Really looking at it as a stop gap measure at the moment as I'll be building a full time HTPC around Christmas when I'm back at home (its a long time to wait). So, thats one Nova T card for me now.

tbh Terratec for me, the software is less buggy and a quick look around both companies support shows this ;)

Terratec also do a version with dual tuners that they have just released - might be worth checking out :)
