Hi Guys and Gals
Right, total n00b here and I'm looking for some recommendations.
I've spent the afternoon pondering a new telly and given up, so sticking with what I have on that
I've also been pondering the Shuttle M1000 (http://eu.shuttle.com/en/DesktopDefault.aspx/tabid-171/310_read-10706/) (£1300) ish vs the Beblu (http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/info_9908.html) at £950 ish.
I prefer the look of the beblu, but would like dual tv and possibly wireless. I've emailed KPCS for some help too, see if they can get me the shuttle and also if th beblu is customisable.
I know there are a few of you who are really into this, Brumster springs to mind. Self build or off the shelf? Hardware to avoid?
I'd like to record freeview and watch freeview at the same time. Connect the box to my existing LAN of two XP home PCS and an old W2K PC. I have a router that will take a wireless card, but thats upstairs and this will be in my livingroom, so I'm not sure about that one. Hard wireing shouldnt be too tricky as I have a 10/100 socket in the livingroom, but then the 2000 box is using that...eek.
We also watch alot of DVDs so thats essential. I also have home movies in DVD format on my main rig, hundreds of photos that would be nice to be viewed on the telly.
Web cam downstairs as my sister is in india for 6 months.
think thats it, any input would be appreciated.
