anyone had any experiance with this? i got one to lower the noise on the rear fan of my sv24, however the manual says not to use it if the connected fan has a startup voltage of over 5V, also it should only be used with fans of 6 Watts or lower, all the fan on my shuttle says is 12V, i assume this means its startup voltage is too high. how the hell are you supposed to find a fan that's safe to use with this thing?

The shuttle fan doesn't state the start up voltage, but beliveve me, it works fine with the fanmate, we've used them many times.

thanks for the reply, no problems sticking it in there at all, should have tried it i suppose, I'm just a little paranoid, but hey better to be safe then sorry n all that, thanks. :)
