any chance of stocking the proper black drives , i have seen thease for around £45 on other sites but they cant seem to get hold of them now, hopeing that this site could get some in .

Pioneer discontinued the black drive in Decemeber 2001 and so none of these drives are left in the supply chain. We have to buy white drives and paint them by hand.,.

:( that suxs then i guess i should have got one whne i had the chance to, but what put me off back then was ppl say that the drives skufed the dvd'd/cd's up when they got ejected from the drive.

So everyone knows, I'm pleased to say we've FINALLY managed to get a large number of 'spare' white bezels, meaning we can paint them up and sell them separately, so that users with an existing white drive can change to a silver or black bezel !

Do the bezels fit all pioneer slot drives?

I have a white Pioneer 103S I think.. old x6 speed model, but it looks pretty similar (well, yunno, it has a "slot" :rolleyes: but seriously, I think it's the same front).

I'd be very interested in getting a silver bezel for it - the bezel is the front of the drive i.e. the actual plastic right? I've seen the Lian-Li stick on facias and they seem kinda poop..

Any idea on price?

I too would be very interested in purchasing a spare bezel, painted in black. Oh yes, I have waited so long for this!!! :D :D :D

they SHOULD fit all slot-feed Pioneer drives. I think they'll probably be £10 , but will be a complete replacement front rather than 'stick on ' Lian Li ones

you could sell metallic silver sprayed bezels they look great in any allu case :D

Out of curiosity, is the silver paint used by KustomPCs to mod drive facias the "Nissan Starburst" that most ppl say is the best match for Alu cases?

I think I got the name right..!

It's just branded as 'aluminium' paint and looks pretty cool in most cases. It's slightly darker than my CoolerMaster case, but is way better than beige :)

Don't get too carried away, it's not me that paints them :)

Tho I must take the praise for nagging our supplier enough to actually get these spare bezels...

are these painted or sprayed?? because my experience has told me that if they are sprayed, at the slot part, where those small "brisle" things are, they will scratch CDs for the first few ejects...

i scratched my beloved Matrix DVD on after spraying... just a piece of advice...

we remove the bristle bit before spraying, then glue it back in later. It's a really perfect looking job, honest :)

u know, don't know why companies like Dabs win Online Retailer of the Yr every godam year... because their customer support/service is sh*t... u call their CS number and are greated "Welcome to Dabs.com, you are number 45 in the queue..." ARRRHHHH!!!!!

Awards should be dedicated to customer satisfaction and service, not popping total sales through the roof...

Places like Dabs, yes their sales top millions every year, but i bet not too many people are ACTUALLY satisfied with their service...

well, i was... only ONCE! when they gave me a FREE Sony 21" monitor, USB zip drive, Epson 895 printer and Scanner - retailed for total 1300 GBP... those dull b*stards!!!! doesn't work anymore though!!
