I have been complimenting building a super soft/hard synth.. My idea is to build a cube pc with an ultra low latency sound card (need to be really low) soley for triggering soft synths via midi..(2 gigahertz processor, 1 gig ddram etc)
My question is: what is the best low latency sound card for soft synth playback ( i'm talking as close to realtime as possible!!)..
i could just then incorporate this into my midi chain attached to one of my 3 midi outs!! This would enable me to record all output back into sonar 2XL on my main daw machine..
Basically i am looking for a comletely upgradable VA..
Your thoughts/opinions would be appreciated
