The Pimp

Due to a leak occuring in my car (god knows where!!!), my trusty CD head unit has decided to die (powers up but no sound yet the graphic is pulsing away & the speakers work as I have tested them on an old head unit).
Obviously now looking at a new one.
Must be able to read CDR media (very important as I won't carry originals in the car for security reasons), have a semi decent pre-amp inside, *thinking* about a MP3 capable one, but not 100%.
Any suggestions?

Blaupunkt MP72 'Los Angeles' - fantastic unit - plays CDs, CD-RWs, MP3 CDs, MMC cards. Has a great display, is easy to use, good equaliser and every feature you could want ! You can also get adapters for most models of car that have steering wheel controls, I don't think any other manufacturers have as many as Blaupunkt. I'd highly recommend it, paid £250 for it from Motorspeed in Ayr (www.motorspeed.co.uk) .

You can just see it there - looks great at night with alu finish and blue leds :)
Car aduio direct have it for £219.99

I've got me peepers on a new unit as well - and a Blaupunk at that... the 'Woodstock' DAB52 DAB+MP3 CD Receiver (complete with DAB aerial) from Bluespot (http://www.bluespot.co.uk/stock/woodstock.asp) ;)
