Well it seems there are quite a few people out there who love them!

Sure they are good, some lovely pieces in their album; but what are your thoughts?

By the time i had chance to get to a PC (after lectures) at 6-20pm today, all their gigs were sold at (they went on sale at 6) :eek:

I am amazed at how 'big' this band has come in a relatively short time. I guess them not releasing their album for sometime helped as well.

What are your thoughts on the band, their album and all the comotion(sp) going on.

Havent heard any of their music, most likely because I do not listen to the radio as they frequently play music I don't like :(

I think there pretty good, and to release the album & everything by themselves truly amazing, i bet they've got lot's of money to spare with no record label and fastest selling album.

& Plus they have beaten the Beatles to best UK album ever & Fastest Selling UK album. :eek:

I like them TBH... not too heavy and not too soft..

First time i heard them was on the radio where they played 'I bet you look good on the dancefloor' and that was a very nice tune... and so i went to get their album.. which is indeed very good to listen to... not the best but its far from bad.

I listened to the album for the first time today. I quite like it but a lot of it has a similar sound. This is a first impression though so knowing me my opinion will probably change after a few listens. :rolleyes:

I love the album...cant mind the last album that i bought that i like as much as this. :)

Yer a lot of people from my 6th Form skipped the last couple of lessons to start queuing for tickets - we had the album on in the common room almost all day woo.
You see not that many top bands play in Hull so people go pretty mad for tickets when they do :p

oh, and didn't they let fans download there songs of their site for free for a long time, it seems this has not damaged sales at all, meerly built up a huge fan-base who will want to own the cd - its the future! ;)

They're awesome - and if any of you lot have tickets for the live shows you will be even more impressed!

its more rock than anything-else and its not heavy at all... kinda' jumpy/fun/happy rock if you understand what i mean

These haven't emerged that quickly I had the demos about 2 yrs ago! my mate heard about them and they have had a MASSIVE internet fan base for a while now.

That is possibly the worst album ive heard for a while, really really hated it.

They sound a lot like The Strokes (when they hit the big time) to me. But that may just be me!

Looks like a lot of the ticket sales were touts buying them and not fans.

Its like any band, they have a small fan base for a while then just "burst" onto the music mainstream.
