as for the card, it looks impressive, but i still have this niggling question in my head, would i buy this, or 2x 7800GT's in SLI. after all. crossfire is not looking that great at the moment from what i hear.

I point was is there a point going for the 1900XTX over the XT if they will be slowed down to the speeds of a standard 1900?

If you run a 1900XTX in crossfire it will be restricted to the speed of the crossfire master card so there is no advantage in getting a XTX over a XT.

I am hoping that when I finally get a crossfire card there will be a faster one available so I can make the most of my card.

right i need to know. every set up i see for x1900xt crossfire uses an a8r32-mvp board. does x1900xt crossfire need a mobo with the 3200 chipset, or can it run on the standard a8r-mvp?
