Anyone got an 02 XDA?

I've just got an 02 XDA mini S and was wondering out of the people who have one or other similar series phone using Windows mobile 5 on 02 if they have come across that annoying user interface they install on it? It basically puts a load of buttons along the left hand side of the main today screen which do pretty much the same things as in the start menu and also along the bottom puts some tabs for 'custom', 'settings' and 'help' screens.

I was wondering if anyone out there has removed this and how? does the phone function just as well with out this or is it vital in performing certain tasks?

Just wondering as i don't want to mess up my new phone....

I've got an XDA2 and an XDA Exec. To be honest I'm a bit disappointed with the XDA Exec, it just seems slow - I'm blaming it on WM5 being a bit bloaty and would be interested if anyone has any tips for making WM5 run a bit faster. It's something I've been meaning to look into since before Christmas but just haven't had time.

I've just taken this link (http://forum.xda-developers.com/front_page.php) from my bookmarks, there's a few useful things on there for XDA stuff. I don't know how much crap O2 install on the XDA mini, but I would look into getting rid of that if I were you.

Yeah I've been looking at that site a fair bit.

I got my XDA mini running nicely by removing the 02 rubbish from the 'Start up' folder. Its much faster now.
