Connection Problem - Can't Play Games Online!

I moved into halls at uni last month and haven't been able to play games online at all because ports are blocked. While I don't mind that much, it would be nice to play some online games now and again when there's nothing else to do, right!?

Anyway, is there a way I can force games to run through an open port such as port 80 so I can actually play the damn things? I can't even run Steam or get server lists when browsing in-game and it's beginning to annoy me. Withdrawal symptoms no doubt!

Has anyone else been in a similar position and can offer some help?
