I had the SN95G5 and was running the following:

AMD64 3500+
1gb ram
XFX 6800GT
1 x 36gb Raptor
1 x 200gb Seagate baraccuda
Audigy 2ZS

No problems with the psu whatsoever.

Hope this helps.

yer thanks, seems that'll be ok then

something else ive come accross, ive only choosen the nvidia graphics option as ive seen it used before, and are familiar with there ordering/capabilities. Having read into the graphics cards on htpcs more, it seems most people reccomend ATI cards? Is this still the case, and what sort of card am i looking at for similar results as this? I have little idea about ATI cards so any response would be useful :)

Historically ATI provided the best PQ, but Nvidia have caught up in this area (some would say overtaken) with their codecs and drivers that assist the playback of hi def material. The card of choice right now is probably passivly cooled 6600's.

hmm, yer thats what i was looking at getting before, was more of a cost cut down to this option. So you think its worth getting a passive 6600?

Yes. A 6600 for normal HTPCing will be fine. If you wish to do a bit of gaming, a 6600GT would be best but passive ones are harder to source.
