I hope mods don't mind me posting this, i posted my old one a wile back and you were OK with that its on the bases of small form factor :)
OK so i have made a lot of changes since the first version posted on here a wile back.
this time i decided i wanted to make it easy as possible for me to do so i decided to keep everything up front. This meant i had to mount the PC in the glove box

so i proceeded to hack and saw and hack and saw lol , i decided on a min travlia case.
i managed to get the PC in and it looked good :) , back was a bit messy but who's gonna see the back ;) I'm not even gonna up load the image :p

OK onto the dash, this time i wanted it more professional looking so taking apart the monitor and molding it right in was the best solution
dash at all most completed stage

awesome. looks very professional and would make any gadget man cry in pride.
Can the system run anything you need it to, or have you set it for only one program - mediacar. Any kind of wireless options in there? Bluetooth?
I presume its all touch screen - is there a USB section for keyboard + mouse back up?
If my Nova warranted a 'pimpin' (cant pull that off can I) then I'd throw a Mac Mini in there and use it for Music, Videos and direction finding.
How much did the whole thing cost if you dont mind me asking?
sorry for the million questions, just looks awesome and its something that I think I could do to... hmmm new car + PC, what more could I want?

Hey thanks for all the good comments i will now atempt to answer as many questions as i can

its a pc so no ints not forced to run any program thats a program runnning in xp ... close that and its just a normal pc, wireless is a option just add in a wireless dongle, same goes with blue tooth

yes it is touch screen no mouse back up yet but i plan to get a griffen powerm8 for easy volume and track skipping. i dont really have a use for a keyboard and mouse. but a wireless one could be added

we don't really do the PC kits anymore due to to much competition but we now specialize in custom dashes , getting the screens nice and stock look. although if we are requested we can still supply a DIY kit

theuncharmed wouldn't a mac mini be alittle hard since the powerbutton is on the back? Davemark like it, it looks like it came with the car :)i wonder if its possible to have a small projecter and make a heads up display.
DaveMark

my m8 was thinking of doing heads up display it was gonna work by using a high powered LCD display (like a matrix orbital) which would reflect of the windscreen

great job :)
wish i had this in my car, i bet this set you back a few pennies :p
i hope all cars are like this in the future imagine after a long drive being able to pull out a keyboard shelf, and have a quick game of Counter Strike : Source or Battlefield 2 over a Wi-Fi connection. :D
