View Full Version : has anyone had problems with installing serious sam 2 demo?
i've just downloaded the serious sam 2 demo from xfire and when i went to install it i cant because my computer doesnt know what program to run it with and just sends me to this link :mad: http://www.xfire.com/xf/modules.php?name=XFire&file=cmspage&body=xf_viewer
it is .rar format which i havent come across before and really dont know what to do to make it work. plz if you have any suggestions it would be appreciated.
If it's a .rar file, you need a .rar archiver. In the same way as you would use winzip for a .zip file.
It's annoying when places use different methods. Espescially when a basic google search can't find you a free one!

All though its not really free you could download winrar here (http://www.rarlab.com/) as that will do what you require.
Just install winrar. Double click the download and it should open winrar. Double click on the exe and the demo install will run.
Also I am a fan of serious sam but I did not enjoy the demo. It just did not seem to have the same feel as the first game.

I use WinRAR meself, but anyone in need of a basic program for unzipping/zipping files, should look at CAM UnZip (http://www.camunzip.com/) +/or EasyZip (http://www.thefreesite.com/easyzip111.htm).
Both programs are FREEware :cool:
...Its ok i guess, mp is reminds me of Q3/UT.
