Hi folks. Was informed of this on another forum and I'm very impressed!
It's a small, shaky-cam video but it shows off a couple of the features of the next CryEngine (which powers Far Cry and, presumably, also Far Cry 2).

I really like how the leaves move when the player brushes against them. Grass moving and the like is nothing new (MGS3 for instance) but I've never seen it pulled off as realistically as it is there. Also in the video is a beautiful day/night cycle, volumetric clouds, a gigantic island and other wonderful features like shadows being cast by individual branches and canopies on the trees and lots of physics.
It's only 3MB so well worth a look if you're interested in seeing what the future of gaming holds apart from the next Unreal engine :)
