will BF2 run well on my p4 3.2 with ATI 9800XT 256ram and 1.5gigs RAM ?

PC is only just over 1 year old and is an AGP system..

Would play at my monitors max resolution of 1280x1024

I expect it would play at max res, but you might have to sacrifice the AA to get some of the other settings high. Shouldn't have a problem though tbh :D

I manage it on a p4 2.4 ocd to 3ghz with an x800 xtpe and 1gb of ram.

Your computer is more than up to it, the main thing that this game is bad for is the memory usage, I'd say 1gb is bare minimum and even then you have a few odd stutters when a map loads as it shoves all the other programs onto the scratch file to free up your memory, so your 1.5gb should come in handy.

I agree with Thomas, 2gb is great for bf2, you may have to drop a few of the graphics settings down to medium (textures and lighting i believe) with a 9800 and turn off AA and AF (dont worry, it'll still look fine)

will probably get it sometime this week..
my 9800XT does me proud with alot of the current games at the mo, and im glad to hear BF2 should be ok on it....

that card cost me nearly £280 a year and a half back !
