Has anyone experienced problems with BF2 and the anti-antilasting? No matter what settings I run the game in and whatever resolution the game still wont sort out the lines? Looks aweful! The settings in the ATI Catalyst are set to the highest too... any ideas anyone?

Can't say i've noticed any problems matey. I'll check my cat settings later and make sure i'm running AA in there and the game then give it a try.

Are you using 5.7?

I'm on the HIS graphics drivers. The latest one uses the 5.6 ATI driver. I've got the CAT set to Quality and AA turned on in the game on 6x. Still not great... not sure why as every other game looks excellent.

Am having no problems at all so I checked all my settings last night for you...

Cat 5.7 - 3D settings all set to default, so AA is on application pref

BF2 - video, all set to high at 1280*960 (but running the command switch to 1280*1024) and AA set to *2

I've got my settings in the CAT set to Quality and have even changed to Advanced settings and put everything on full. In BF2 I've set the resolution to 1280*960 even though my monitor is 1280*1024 (still works fine and all in proportion), AA on *6. Seems to be ok now though! All smoothed out... not sure how or why though!

Cool, do you have black bars top and bottom running at 1280*960?

I might try and run 4* then 6*AA to see if I can. (might try 1024*768 at 6*AA, as 17" panels shouldn't really be run out of step)

I may try upping the cat settings, but to be honest it looks great as it is...

Any idea what FPS you're getting?

There are two small black bars at the top and bottom. Not too much of a problem. I just found that when the graphics were having issues, upping the resolution made a small improvment. I'll try going back to 1024*768 and see if the problem comes back.

Not sure what FPS I'm getting. Could get that little program and see what I get. Never have any issues with graphics though!

I can run at 6* with no problems either.

To get the fps bring down the console and type renderer.drawfps 1 (i think off the top of my head)

I run BF-2 with 4 x AA on and modded the BF-2 exe to run at 1280 x 1024. My frames are smooth and I don't get black lines :D

I don't get the problems any more either! Smooth as anything on full graphics... why they were there to start with I have no idea! I don't get the option to run in 1280*1024 though. Highest I can use is 1280*960... bit strange... not really a problem though.

I changed my shortcut to:

Z:\bf-2\BF2.exe +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1280 +szy 1024

This forces 1280 x 1024 to the game :D

Ah I see. May have to give that a try to make them even crisper.
