In cs:s my guns look really odd,the textures are all wierd.Its seem to only happen with guns not terrain etc Ive tried changing the detail etc stays the same.Really getting on my nerves.Its the pc in sig.

are they kinda "overbright" if so it's due to the map your on having no cubemap, or you've been on a map with overbright on as default which fubars your textures,
try going on an official map, or typing
mat_reloadallmaterials
in the console it'll bum out for a few seconds while it reloads it, but that usually stops problems like overbright. some maps just don't have cube maps and look all bright and gay.

if it was cache files the game would crash or not load, im 99% sure the reloadallmaterials or changing map would sort it :)

Lo,cheers for help but it seems to do this on all maps custom or not,why is the pic vague lol.Sub i tried your suggestion and they stayed the same.

Have you tried playing with the gamma and brightness settings? I can only see a bit of the background in your pic, but that looks a little odd to me too.

Well the pic is just ment to show the dodgy guna,though i did notice i drew a line on it :p Ive tried brightness etc stays the same.

I take it u cant see the gun at all in the pic? Parts of the gun become all blocky and discoloured,its get better/worse in different light.

you mean the green on black thing in dark area's? if so thats just a bug in the game
when things get super black some gun textures show green on the ref map, looks **** but it's a game bug unfortunately
