Just joined....1st post :p

Okay, I have an Asus A8N SLI Deluxe (which i love ^^) but after purchasing a new case (Coolermaster 201 no less :D) I've had a bit of a problem...

I have a side window with the case so I would very much like to have a nice tidy inside, but I am unable to get any Audio without connecting the Coolermaster front panel audio up to the motherboard, which is odd because this wasnt needed with my old case, so now the only way I am able to get sound is to have a horrendous looking front panel audio cable sprawled across my mobo, it also doesnt help needing a molex connecter plugged into the mobo feeding my two 6600gt's with much needed power :( any suggestions would be welcome.....

Will I just have to fork out for a proper sound card? I normally would have anyway but the A8N SLI Deluxe has great on board audio.... plz help

Sounds to me like you just need two jumpers covering the speaker part of the front panel audio on your motherboard. I'd guess you already know where these pins are as you know how to connect the FPA ;)

Welcome to the board :)

Just as georDIE said now that I have read his post:rolleyes:

Thanks for the replies guys, however, Streetsam page 2-28 simply tells you how to connect up the fpa to the pins on the mobo, i have allready done this, thanks anyway. and also, i dont have n e jumpers to connect to the fpa pins, all i have is the front i/o panel pins sprawled accross my mobo looking very ugly, will using a pci soundcard allow me to have audio without this damn wire making my life a misery? :(

Oh and sorry for taking so long to reply ive been on holiday in paris ^^

Yes you will be able to get sound through a PCI sound card, though all you really need to do is somehow short out the pins used by the speakers. If you go into any computer repair place they'll probably give you a couple of jumpers for free.
