Find a company that will supply you with front panels to DVD/CD/CD-R/W/DVD-R/W,etc... and then offer replacement front covers.

Store an image of the graphics on a wide range of different drives. The buyer selects their drive and the colour they would like it. They are then taken onto the final screen where they select from a range of graphic colours (superimposed onto the colour they selected).

Front covers painted then shipped out ready to be snapped on, :)!

What do u mean the actual cd/dvd etc drive face plates that are then painted to colours of your choice?

AH I agree then cos I want a black one for my slot pioneer and then another for my plexwriter toooo :)

That would be nice :). People could put them on existing drives (cdrw,etc) that they may want to put in a new system which may be black when the old drives are white and vice versa.

getting fascia`s is possible - but with the likes of cd drives, the tray is normally white anyway so that would have to be painted.

It would be ok with slot feeds...

I just think (for example) a black cd-rom with a white tray would look cool...

I'm surprised you can't get the tray as well because mine comes off quite easily if you give it a little tug, :)!

Or you could just do your own Kustom design, much simpler and sell that in a variety of colours. Have a different one for CD/DVD,etc...

Hmmm I'd think a white (beige) tray would look pretty awful, but never mind, ;)!

What about interchangable fronts for cases, you could snap one off and a new one back on as the mood took you!

have a different colour scheme for work and for games!

Some cd/dvds can be coloured, any colour, maybe chrome tray on some using the original bezel and tray, buttons and dial would be matte black, show me a good pic of the face and I will let you know. :)
Can match some floppies too :)
